Acne is a long term disorder involving the pilosebaceous unit. When the duct of the sebaceous gland is clogged with dead skin cells and oil, this results in swelling called Comedone. If this blockage is not removed, the gland swells further resulting in papules, after which it is filled with pus and bacteria leading to Acne. There are two types of Acne; they are Acne Vulgaris and Acne Rosacea.
